BEING ADAPTIVE TO CHANGE

Björn Serving has a long international background in business with a focus on Operational Excellence. Business Dictionary describes it well: “A philosophy of the workplace where problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership results in the continuous improvement in an organization”. Perhaps that philosophy can be applied to his endurance endeavors too?

Because if you run in high mountains and swim wild waters like Björn does, you need to know where you are going. And to get wherever you want to go, you need to be able to analyze and work with nature. Being adaptive to change is how you learn and improve. 

A VALUABLE LIFESTYLE

What if we all implemented this thinking into our lives? The world would become a bit more sustainable. A viable planet leads to viable people. Or the other way around: viable people lead to a viable planet. Our overall health has been, is, and will forever be connected. On his LinkedIn profile, he says: “I strongly believe in: not the process, not the rules, but the creativity must flourish. Business is not about creating money but creating meaningful value, both for the customers, society, and for all people involved”. And although this is business-related, it reflects all aspects of life.

Björn Serving was born in 1969 and splits his time between Lund, Sweden, and Munich, Germany where he lives and works. His playground changed from Kullaberg to the Alps. But we tend to believe that he would seek out adventures wherever he resides. It’s a way of existing. And it's a lifestyle we admire and get inspired by.
