AND THE SEARCH FOR FREEDOM

Studies show this and research shows that. The latest articles we’ve written refer a lot to statistics and science. The information is super relevant and motivating, perhaps because we sort of already know it deep within? Knowledge that is programmed into our blood, muscles and cells. Wisdom that our brains have built in. You. Know. It. Here’s a 2 minute read about something you already know.

FIND YOUR INNER CHILD

C’mon, when we read new health studies we are rarely surprised. Running promotes better sleep. Sleep is necessary to promote ill-health of all kinds. Of course! Running releases endorphins that make you happy and it also lower your stress levels. All your organs get in better shape, your immune system is strengthened, you prevent stroke, inflammation and heart diseases, etc etc, etc. Shocking proof or common sense?

Remember your childhood? Running that just happened. Naturally, like it does for all kids. There’s no feeling of disgust. Just pure joy. Rain or snow or sunlight doesn’t matter. You go for it. One foot in front of the other.

BORN TO RUN

We kicked off a series of Q&A with our followers on Instagram. 3 questions that read: Why do you run? What is running to you? What is your motto when you feel low? Different people came up with the same reply: They run because it’s refreshing, meditative, gives you flow and keeps you fit. Running to them is nowness, mindfulness, it’s uplifting, unpretentious and allows them to explore nature. Their motivation is the knowledge of the great and energetic feeling afterwards.

We’re pretty sure that you will get the same answer whoever you ask. Why?

Probably because we were born to run..

THE HAMSTER WHEEL

The modern world keeps us captive. We learn fast that there’s no use running. You can get sweaty, and sweat is yucky (?!). There are buses and cars, and that is convenient. You need to work long hours, determined by someone else. There’s no time for mindful running, when you are stuck in a hamster wheel. The establishment and the corporation can’t match your pulse, and you can’t match theirs. You try your best, but eventually break down. Is there a way out? Does it have to be a drastic change to adapt to today? Do you have to quit your job and move to the forest for good? We believe that the solution can be found in the small things. That you can get perfect exercise and meditation in between your daily must-do’s. And you don’t have to make time for it. You can actually save minutes and even hours….

BE IN CHARGE

You still have to go places. So why not combine commuting/traveling with exercising? Run instead of taking the car - like we were designed to do. Save on Co2 emissions - for a healthier environment. Save on road rage - and free your mind instead. Burn calories, stress levels, memory loss and anxiety. Take control and be the change you wish to see.

SAFETY

Roads and sidewalks can get very slippery during and after rain. It’s better to slow down and run at a steady pace.

Rain can also blur the sight for people in traffic. Use reflector lights and wear brighter colors to improve visibility.

Avoid getting cold. Remove wet clothing, shoes and packs as soon as possible. Take a warm shower, get dry and eat and drink warm food.

READY, STEADY, GO

This article is just a reminder of what you already know. Perhaps it can serve as motivation, now that vacation is over?
