A man of many talents, Michal D’Aulerio from Philadelphia, is a proud dad, caring husband, sales professional, a brand ambassador athlete, and an Ultra Marathon runner who has completed over 50 ultras’ in just a few years.
An avid fitness enthusiast, a certified nutrition consultant and personal trainer with many competitions under his belt, Michael recently switched to a grain free diet in a bid to maximise his energy levels and improve his performance, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. By eliminating processed foods from his diet and consuming high intakes of fat, he is able to complete a 100-mile Ultra Marathon with nothing more than almond butter, avocados and coconut water as fuel, and ‘short’ training runs of around 30 miles with no food or water at all!
When he is not working, spending time with his wife and two young sons, or out training, Michael spends much of his time travelling across the country competing in Endurance Runs, 50 Mile Plus Ultra Marathons, and as he says in his own words, “running anywhere on solid ground”.
For Michael, staying motivated is easy. “Running has changed my life and for that I am forever grateful. I've run up mountains, down trails, through cities, and across beaches. I can tell you that the average battery life of an iPod Nano is 5 hours… I run with 3 of them! I've run 60mile training runs in the frigid December snow and in the scorching August heat, loving every step of the way.”
When it comes to his philosophy on life, Michael keeps it simple, “Do what you love, be passionate, work hard, and all your dreams can come true”.
